Mmmmh... I thought I had already posted some messages but I can find them (?).

Anyway: hi everybody, I have an inguinal hernia and want to heal myself. I'm looking for a suppourt group in wich I can share my experiences and thoughts, share the information I have and hopefully answer some of my doubts.

The question is: is this group still active, the messages seem pretty old... how many people still there?

And if there IS any people... I had some symptoms from the end of last year, in the form of occasional pain, and through the months sometimes it was getting worse, but then again it comes and go so I forgot, even when at least once it stops me from running, and at that time I came to wonder if that may be my appendix... it just got better and then I forgot. Also I notice problmes for urinate, and sometimes the pain seemed more like a bad digestion.

I neglected till a day I was stressed by a pretty dumb situation and then, without any phisical effort, I felt a moderate or even strong pain, bend myself and felt something... and also heared it, like a funny noise in my bowels. At that time I didn't know what it was but this night, while naked I noticed a small bulge. A week after that the doctor diagnosed my with inguinal hernia.

I searched for other alternatives than surgery cause I found really difficult to belive that a rupture (be it weakness or tear) wouldn't heal itself like any other injurie with the addecuate treatment: what was that suposed to be, a magical injury than cannot be cured, some gipsy curse? it may be diffucult but it couldn't be imposible.

I found support for that view and since them (like two and a half months ago) I'm trying to heal myself through diet and exercise, and also trying to calm my mind to avoid the stress that was involved (as i explained above), being positive and focused to the cure (this has proven more difficult than diet), and trying to relax my body and ease it from tensions and bad habits in posture and movement.

I have writen a couple posts in the herniabible forum, with the nic "raulm60" but is not much active either, and the site don't work so well and is plaged with bots. I hope I can find some more active group. I have many doubts and some info and experience to share, but I want to know if there is some people still attending this group or if there is any other.

Greetings

Juba

Hi, raulm60

Member applications must await approval, to keep out the spammers. Now I have approved your membership, so your posts have been posted automatically.

Please go to the following blog post on Tumblr. Print out the page and take it to a physiotherapist or teacher of yoga or pilates. It is a list of yoga asanas, but other exercise systems have equivalent or near-equivalent postures. You can also take herbal medicine such as hernease; it will work in synergy with the yoga. Fasting to begin with is also helpful. See also my posts on the Hernia Bible forum where my ID is juba or similar. Beiyin/Falconblanco's advice is also good. Check out his videos on YouTube.

Best of luck.

Hello All from Wilson;
I don't know how much help I can be as I only have an incisionalhernia which has not changed in ten or more years. I can pull it in with abdominal muscle action and never have pain with it. It does not affect my daily activity and the only time I think about it is if I look in the mirror without a shirt. I am not pursuing any type of remedial action at this point.
I cannot therefore give any advice about hernias of any type but offer my best wishes to you all for speedy healing in whatever endeavor you may choose.

Hello. Andrew; Wilson here...I am sorry I cannot be much help. My hernia resulting from colon cancer surgery is different from yours so my experience is not beneficial to you. I am not currently applying any method of reduction but do lots of yard work which passively strengthens the muscles around the affected area and I expect given more time this too will pass. I have no pain and rarley think about it. Sorry I can't be of more help. I can only add prayer benefits all things.

Best to your healing; Wilson

I tried to heal myself for about a year, but to no avail. So I went to a doctor ( that had a good reputation healing hernias with the mesh.)
Turned out great !  Never bother afterwards at all..  Never regretted since, been about  4 years now.. Hope for the best,  Ron
