Community Garden Planning Meeting
WHEN: Thursday, November 11, 7:30pm to 8:30pm
WHERE: Herndon Fortnightly Library, 768 Center St, Herndon
Would you like to support the community garden? This is how you can help:
Become a HEN member! All membership fees (new and renewals) received between now and the end of 2016 will go toward the community garden project.
Send a check to Herndon Environmental Network, PO BOX 1704, Herndon, VA 20170 (specify Community Garden on check.) We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH:
Tree Planting at Herndon's Chestnut Grove Cemetery
WHEN: Saturday, November 19, 9am to 11am
WHERE: 831 Drainesville Rd, Herndon
Join us to plant 10 trees at the cemetery, in cooperation with John Dudzinsky, Herndon's Community Arborist.
Dress for the weather, and wear sturdy, closed-toe boots. Tools (shovels, etc) and work gloves will be provided.

Runnymede Interpretive Garden Workday
WHEN: Saturday, November 12, 9am to 11am
WHERE: Runnymede Park, 195 Herndon Parkway, Herndon
Join Friends of Runnymede Park to restore Runnymede's interpretive garden to its diversity of native plants. This workday is focused on removing overgrown Black-eyed Susan Obedient Plant.
Any plants you dig will be yours to keep - if you can't use them, think beyond your garden and dig some for a neighbor, your child's or grandchild's school! Bring a shovel if you can. Bring work gloves.
