Come celebrate Earth Day in Herndon!

Hello friends,

Join us in downtown Herndon (by the Depot on Lynn Street) this Friday, April 22nd! Green Lizard Cycling has partnered with us to celebrate Earth Day. There will be an opportunity to pick up a Redbud seedling to plant yourself or donate one to the Town of Herndon while you enjoy a complimentary cup of fair trade, organic coffee. We will have information on the Robot Tomato seedling sale (coming up Saturday, April 30) and the ongoing Herndon Community Garden project at Bruin Park.

We need your help with fundraising for the Community Garden project! These are all the ways you can contribute so we can reach the goal of raising $10,000 (approximately one quarter of the project's total cost):

• Mail us your checks, made payable to Herndon Environmental Network, at PO BOX 1704, Herndon, VA, 20170
• Donate online via our crowdfunding campaign.
• Select Herndon Environmental Network as your preferred charity when you shop through Amazon Smile (0.5% of any qualified purchases will be donated to HEN). We encourage responsible and environmentally conscious purchases.
• We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
• If you would like to put your networking and fundraising skills to work, we'd be happy for you to join our volunteer outreach team. We are looking for individuals with a desire to help with raising funds for the Community Garden by visiting local businesses and gauging their interest in supporting this project!
