xsd:anyURI malformed

Is it normal for HermiT to complain when URIs contain UTF-8 characters? For example I get this with Protege 5 and HermiT 1.3.8.3:

MalformedLiteralException: Literal "http://www.dbpedia.org/resource/Márquez_Natalia"^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#anyURI> is malformed

In principle, xsd:anyURI can be used to map IRIs in OWL 2, as per the specification: http://www.w3.org/TR/owl2-syntax/#IRIs_2

Therefore I wonder if this is expected behavior or a bug.
