example car model

Hi,
this example was once working but it segfaults now
and the test fails:

41/478 Test #50: test-example-system_car_model
..........................................................***Failed

This is a product of my past attempt to extablish collaboration
with a robotics guy at UNR but he was not very interested
in the end.

Would someone be willing to investigate and fix the example,
or should we trash it?
