Hi group,

Quite recently, after installing the newest version of Thetis HL2-version, I have noticed small (+/- 10 Hz) drift after startup. It is very clear in the WSJT-X panel with all stations drifting back and forth, seems to settle after some minutes though. With QUISK this does not exist, haven't tried other software yet. I could try removing and re-installing all Thetis-related SW, but I wonder, if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

P.S. I did run the RTTY contest with Thetis and N1MM+ last weekend without any problems but certainly a 10 Hz drift in RTTY mode can exist without really noticing it.

Hi Heikki,

I noticed that as well and was able to reduce the effect by using the Force tick boxes in the VAC Monitors. I suspect that it is something to do with the re-samplers. I removed the Force option after about a minute and things looked stable but I didn't play with it too much, YMMV.

Cheers

I can confirm this as well.  I will see the slant in the WSJTX waterfall for a cycle and it will reverse the next cycle, and after a couple it is back to no drift.  It will however do it again after a few cycles.

Tks Reid/Ron,

There's no way I could have figured this out on my own! I checked the Force boxes in VAC Monitoring and everything seems to be stable. Removing the ticks made things even worse the B4 so I will keep those checked ...
