Is it possible to connect the HL2 to a Windows PC directly (not via router)?

The answer is "yes", both devices will use the APIPA address range (169.X.X.X)

Hi Angel,

You can also set a fixed IP in the HL2 if you don't like the APIPA address. This is what I do when I go camping or operate remotely and want to connect directly. Search this group for fixed IP.
