FM settings Thetis

Hello,

i´m playing around with a 2m transverter and have problems with Thetis and FM. 

The mic gain is very low. I set mic gain to 40 and enabled the +20DB switch in settings. All settings in windows are on max. RX is not realy good, but ok. Tested also the settings from Kurt.  -> https://groups.google.com/g/hermes-lite/c/x8MlhTAgzn0/m/cXStULhsBgAJ

Tested different soundcards, headset and bluetoothdevices....

What settings use for FM?

Seems like the default settings. This settings are working for you? Do you use defaults for transmit settings too?

Since I used to operate the transverter with my Red Pitaya, and the unit has been sitting in a drawer now for quite some time, I would like to refer you to the Apache Labs forum and Scott's posts.

Hello. I also couldn't set up transmission in FM with very low modulation. EU2AV Transverter

Here are some steps how to improve the audio with Thetis.
This works for me on SSB and FM.

1. configure meters to be able to check your levels on transmit
2. transmit and configure the Settings, to be in the range of near max. of the white bar´s (use a dummy load ;-) )

Meters:
Setup -> Appearance -> Meters/Gadgets
make a tx container for this values
-> Mic, Leveler, Leveler Gain, EQ, CFC Compression, ALC Group

optional you can make a second container:
-> ALC, ForwardPower,SWR

The settings you should have an eye on:
Equalizer  (menue bar) 
DSP -> CFC (setup)
DSP -> FM (setup)
DSP -> AGC/ALC (setup)
DSP -> Options (setup)

I still have some rx issues i´m working on. It´s ok but not perfect.... maybe someone has a hint...
