Good time! I insert the pedal into the front panel of the Hermes Lite into the KEY/PTT connector, when pressed, the transceiver switches to transmission and a carrier signal appears as if I inserted a CW key. How do I make it work like PTT?

you must use a stereo plug, tip-ring-sleeve. For PTT for voice i.e. SSB,
the PTT switch must be wired to Ring-Sleeve.
The tip is for CW.

In addition to Andrew's excellent advice, make sure your gateware is up to date, as detailed in the WIKI.

Is your pedal connected to KEY or to PTT?

please read before you write: is it connected to KEY,
or is it connected to PTT? The KEY/PTT jack is a 3.5mm
TRS jack with 2 active contacts.
If you ground the KEY contact, the HL2 possibly goes CW.
