Hi Group

Inspired for one post (https://groups.google.com/g/hermes-lite/c/Yzv8hG0Jy_8/m/ha5wwQVJAwAJ) of Alex Pressel (Thanks Alex!), several months ago, I started to think about the possibility of building an (almost)DIY, Low Cost, and automatic Power Amplifier, based on a well-known commercial and cheap PA (DIY Kit 70W SSB linear HF Power Amplifier) and controlled by an Arduino Board.

In my GitHub (https://github.com/ea3igt/HL2-PA70/) you can find all the information related to my project, from the conception to the finish.

The trip has been fantastic! I have enjoyed every minute I have invested in building this little companion to my HL2.

I hope It can help or inspire someone.

Greetings

Cesc

I have one of those 70W kits as well, and now I am inspired to put something together as well. Thanks for your notes and information. I might make mine simpler so I can take it out into the field. I don't do much operating from my home due to a highly compromised antenna (HOA) and a high noise floor. Most of my operating is portable.

Thanks,
Heath

Hi Cesc,

Thanks for sharing. That looks like quite a fun project. May I add a l link to your project on the community projects wiki page?

Hi Cesc,
Just what I needed. I have all the bits here. Now I have no excuse to not get on with it.
Thanks for making it easy.

Cesc,
Do you have any extra control boards? If so, could I buy one?

Hi Cesc and Group,

I've added your link to the community projects page:

There are now at least 4 PA-related links on that page for those interested in PA options.

I try to keep the community projects page updated but may have missed projects. Anyone can edit this and other wiki pages with a free github account, so please feel free to add any missed links.

Steve

Hi Cesc,

Do you have any of your control boards spare and for sale?
I would like to make this amp as well.
