Hi Muhsin,

Yes, you should use EXTTR. The ring is a common ground. The center pin is pulled low by the HL2 during TX. The control signal which the HL2 pulls to ground can be as high as 28V. See the schematic for more details.

Since this PA is meant to interface to a Yaseu, you might want to check out the band voltages here:

How good is the filtering in this amplifier?

Thanks Steve
MX-P50M  band change is manual
This weekend I will connect and try;
Then I will try to check the harmonics with TinySA
and I will let you know

Musin

Did you get it working and was it just a straight connection for PTT to EXTTR?

Hi Terry

I've ordered a DIY Kits amplifier from Aliexpress to interface the HL2 to the Expert 1.3...It has no band pass filtering, but as its just going to be used as a pre driver i dont think I'll need it as the 1.3 will take care of that.
I believe Reid is working on a solution to interface it directly to the HL2 without the need for the I/O board. DIY Kits amp is £20 with all the taxes paid :-)

Sounds good Charlie, now have my small amp working fine so output uo to 50 watts. Getting really good and unsolicited audio reports using the Yeti PCmic
