O.K. many thanks for the P1P2 utility. The HL2 is on Ethernet port 192.168.1.180. it responds to a ping and to the Discover utility. However I am unable to get the HL2 to run with any software or on any hardware (RPi5, Win-11, Ubuntu).

I will try to find the kind email from the fellow who repairs HL2's

Tnx again,

Hi Ken,

can you make sure you are disconnected from the radio, so check if thetis
is running or not in task manager. When you are sure Thetis is not running,
nor opensdr or any other program related to the HL2, then download the
radio discovery tool from Richie:
https://github.com/ramdor/DiscoverP1P2Radios/releases

Can you see the radio in your network? If not, just make a direct
connection between your computer UTP port and the one of HL2.

Hi Ken,

If you can ping and discover your HL2, I doubt there is something wrong with your HL2.

Is 192.168.1.0/24 your local subnet?

Do you have any firewall settings for UDP port 1024 in your network?

If you try the factory reset (short tip to ring of the CW/PTT connector during power on), are you able to find your HL2 and does it have the same 192.168.1.180 address?

It may be that your HL2 has a static IP set for a wrong subnet. You can use SparkSDR or the HL2 Python utility to clear that.
