Today I checked out AM TX for the first time. This may be me doing something dumb which I am more than capable of, but when I set Thetis 2.10.3.12 to TX AM I get carrier and one sideband. I've gone into Settings\DSP\AM-SAM and checked the USB+LSB tab is selected. It is but I still get carrier and one sideband. If I'm on 80m I get carrier  +LSB and on 60m I get carrier + USB. Ticking a tab other than the USB+LSB on any band doesn't appear to alter anything and my HL2 is resolutely produces carrier and the one normal sideband for that band.
Years ago I built a Red Pitaya based SDR which is controlled by the non HL2 version of Thetis 2.10.3.12. This works as expected and produces carrier and both sidebands when TXing AM.
Am I the only one experiencing this or have I screwed up an HL2 Thetis setiing somewhere?

Hi Paul,

I do know others have used AM with the HL2 successfully. You may want to search this list for AM via the web interface:

Issue resolved. It was a combination of user error and user ignorance. If you want to transmit AM with both sidebands, Thetis has to be set to receive AM as well as transmit it. If an AM transmit profile is selected but the receiver is still set to SSB you get carrier and one sideband.
