Steve,
Thanks for the response. Yes the audio devices were configured for some time and were working fine in quisk. But the HL2 would not open in pihpsdr or quisk and pihpsdr is in daily use with my 16bit hermes. It would detect HL2 but I would not get a waterfall or panadapter when connected and checking for the hl2 IP in terminal I saw nothing. I tried temp disable of the firewall but that changed nothing.
I did connect the HL2 to a different ethernet switch and then to a linux laptop to test. On the laptop I installed sparksdr. HL2 was detected connected fine and it gave me an IP at the top of the screen. I connected the HL2 on the same ethernet switch which is also on my network to my main machine and then manually entered the IP that I got from sparksdr into quisk and it connected and worked fine. But this is not an optimal setup and I do not know why it wont work the way I had it before. It just quit one day. I will list the setup better that I am on
Computer is running linux mint 21.3
I have a dedicated nic that is connected to an ethernet switch then to my Hermes 16bit and the hermes lite and nothing else. This is what quit working. The Hermes 16 bit connects fine but long ago I configured a static IP on 16 bit hermes when installing protocol 2 firmware. The Hermes 16 bit is running pihpsdr and the HL2 would run on quisk with multiple transverters. These programs were running simultaneously. This is the setup I am trying to go back to but for some reason the HL2 will not connect.
The other nic which is the one built into the PC mother board is also connected to an ethernet switch that is then tied to my router and other computers in the shack. This is what I had to connect the HL2 to get it working. I would like to go back to the previous configuration but a networking person I am not lol. I do not know what happened to the previous config, it just quit working one day.
Hopefully explains the issue I am having better. I am just looking for a solution to get it to connect in the original configuration I had it in. Both on the same switch to the dedicated nic.
Thanks!
Ryan
