Hello Group,

Firmware 20170904 for both beta2 and beta3 builds has been released. This includes the Cordic fix from Alan for the 20.480 MHz and other spurs. It also includes the MDIO address change from Taka to work with the beta3 ethernet LED change. It does not include any firmware safe guards for high PA current or temperature. The HL2beta3 build notes have been updated to describe the LED modifications required for this firmware to work. Please make sure all hardware modifications are made to your HL2beta3 as unmodified units will not be officially supported.

Thanks Steve,
I've tested on the H-Lv2b3, the Ethernet worked fine also by just changing the Magjack LEDs pull-ups to 3.3 V, then I also added the pull-up on the PHY inputs also, just to be on the safe side - I don't think we need to spare two resistors, hi.
I still see the spur at 20.480 MHz in Quisk, maybe a little weaker and all the bandscope lines are still there, unfortunately.

Steve,
I notice github does not have the modified cordic.v, does the .jic include it?

Hi Alan and Claudio,

I reviewed Alan's changes but copied his file into the wrong location. I made a new 20170905 release which should include Alan's changes. Sorry!

Thanks,
also with the FW 20170905 the 20.480 MHz spur is still there in Quisk...

Claudio,
I guess I've messed up somewhere, I certainly have a version running here without the spur but may have left in another mod that I thought I had removed.  I've just ordered a lifetimes supply of 0603 resistors to make the latest hw mods, once they arrive I'll investigate so we are all on the same firmware.

Hi Alan and Claudio,

I tested with the new firmware and still see the spur at 20.480MHz. Again, it is very hard to miss: no antenna or dummy load, LNA down to -12 dB, tuned exactly to 20.480 MHz.

Hi Steve, Claudio, Taka and list,
I've made the resistor mods and the new firmware runs for me. I can also see the spur but there are fewer as you tune off.  I tried with EXTRA_BITS set to 8 in cordic.v this makes it barely perceptible on my radio, unfortunately it uses up gates and only 2 receivers fit, hopefully there is a more efficient way to do this.
