Hi,

I use pihpsdr so I'm not going to be much help with Thetis. You already said you tried different combinations of sound settings.

What happens if you try transmitting using the tune option, or two tone? Is the transmitted signal clean? I suppose all modulation is happening in software so if there is some fault with the Hermes it will affect all transmit, not just SSB.

I'd try that first if I was you. Also, if it comes as clean I suggest to just exclude HL2 out of the picture by trying on a different PC if you have one. If not... at least the tune/two tone will hopefully supply some answers.

Hi Lukas, I believe I have somewhat solved the issue, it was possibly related to RFI, so In placed ferrites on the cables to reduce noise. In addition, the microphones I was using were creating input interference, so I tried many different microphones and found one suitable. High gain microphones such as condenser microphones seem to work better than Dynamic, but with the Condenser, I have to reduce the gain almost to zero to eliminate the issues.

I found no issues transmitting with the tune or two tones, it appeared to be a clean signal. I also tried using another computer and it produced the same results.

Thank you for the assistance.
