Eathernet stopped working need to get hl2 repaired

I recived the unit september 25th 2023.

Worked well for 4 days then no matter what i try I cant connect to it.

have followed all the fixes i can find on here.

Ive done the short tip and ring to ground.

tryed it direct and tryed it to router.

Wire Shark shows DHCP as 0.0.0.0 subnet 255.255.255.255

has the KSZ 9012 CHIP AND R34 is correct 68B.

think it may need to be reflashed not sure.

Hi Bobby,

First basic detail to provide, what software are you using?

When you power on the unit normally, what is the state of LED D2 and D3 (two left most LEDs on the front) after about a minute? These are the idle mode and ip assignment LEDs as seen here:

At what rate is the idle mode (D2) LED blinking? 2Hz or 1Hz? Twice as fast as the ip assignment LED or the same speed?

When you power on in factory recovery mode, do you short TRS on Key/PTT before applying power to the HL2 and until about 10 seconds after applying power? (I ask because I have had perfectly good units shipped to me for repair just to discover factory recovery mode wasn't done properly.)

Again, report the same details for the LEDs as requested in normal boot but when booting in recovery mode?

What is the state of the 2 LEDs on the ethernet jack? Have you tried different ethernet cables and made sure they are plugged firmly into the HL2?

Have you modified your HL2 in any way, for example to install the AK4951 companion card?

Since you state you have tried WireShark, please post the WireShark capture (.pcap file from save) for 30 seconds before and to 3 minutes after booting in factory recovery mode.

LED D2 2Hz and D3 1Hz same in recovery mode, D4 D5 On solid eathernet yellow on solid.

Recovery mode unit is powerd off short the TRS plug on cable with foil, while shorted power up for 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds 

dosent matter do not get IP out of it. also D2 stays at 2Hz never goes to 1 Hz no matter what I do normal or recovery.

tryed diffrent cables and no mods done to it.

Hi Bobby,

I did receive your board yesterday and tested this morning. I found it in the condition your described - no IP assigned and factory recovery boot makes not difference. I inspected the soldering of U4 and noticed that although all pads had solder, some pins on U4 did not appear to have a good connection. I have resoldered several pins on U4 and now your board is working again. I want to keep you board for a few more days to gain confidence that this is not some intermittent problem.
