Hi Group,

Elecrow has sent pictures of the assembled Hermes-Lite 2.0 beta5 for our review. Please take a look and post to the list if you see anything suspicious. Group review can really be helpful as in the past beta3 build Taka found resistors with the wrong values. You can find links to all beta5 design files on the release page or www.hermeslite.com.

The photos are high resolution 3024x4032. Let me know if they don't come through at that resolution and I will post them in a different way.

Elecrow says they are setting up to do the functional testing today. I'm not sure what the reasons for delay are.

Hi Group,

Google Groups reduced the resolution of the photos, so they are attached to this post as a .zip file.

Hello Steve,

Been going through the photos and noticed on the schematic for Hermes-Lite V2 5W Power Amplifier you have placed a note under the bias regulator

"R101,R95,R47,R66 set for AFT05MS003." I wonder if that is meant to read "R70,R127,R47,R66 set for AFT05MS003" or have I missed the whereabouts of R101 and R95? The components on the board are R70 and R127.

Cosmetic change only.

Hi,
Steve,
I went through the top of the picture. It is looking OK. Even I went through the PA section, no mis match found.  Over all the build looking good.

Hi Graeme,

Thanks for the report. I've added a github issue for this to be fixed in the next release.

Hi Group,

Thanks all for the review. The only strange thing I saw was one of the resistors was blue. That can be explained as that resistor is a less common precision value.

I told Elecrow two days ago that the assembly looked good but haven't heard back from them. I am concerned that they are struggling with the functional tests but not interacting with me. There could very well be a problem in the beta5 image I sent as it was impossible for me to test. I am much more confident with the latest release and will send them an updated image just in case.
