Gateware update failure

I tried to update the Hermes Lite gateware using Quisk. I got the error message '"Failure to erase the old program". Is there a fix for this?

I find the easiest way is with Spark.

How do you check the firmware currently loaded?  I installed SparkSSR and can not find the current HL2 firmware version. So I tried to update with the 74p and clicking program does nothing. So is that telling me I am on the current version?

Open Spark with Hl2 connected and go into Radio settings (3 dots on right side). In General scroll down and you see Firmware version etc.

Thanks for your reply. I tried updating the Hermes Lite gateware using SparkSDR Versions 2.0.25 and 2.0.975. I got the message: Erasing, Programming Failed. How do I troubleshoot this problem?

SparkSDR reports Hermes Lite Firmware Version 72 and Firmware Patch 8.

I tried using hermeslite.py to update the gateware. I got the message "ERROR: No response from HL2 for erase." The Hermes Lite works normally using SparkSDR. Do I have to enable something to allow gateware programming?

No, if you have HL2 working with Spark the FW update should also work. Are you sure you are doing the correct steps?
