Step 6.1 is to "apply finger pressure to the top of the AD9866" which results in RF output to read ~6 W, so it appears the AD9866 has insufficient ground. Step 6.2 is to fill the hole underneath the AD9866 with solder. Before proceeding I wanted to see if this is the best next step? Anyone have experience with step 6.2 and how successful it is long-term?

Hi Jim,
How recently did you purchase your HL2? Step 6.2 usually works but you may want to consider a warranty exchange if it is new enough.
