CW sidetone

Hi, I just  installed Lyra on my MINIX NGC NR660 Mini PC (AMD Ryzen 5 6600H); it looks like a very beautiful and promising program for operating the HL2. However  I noticed that on CW mode with the internal iambic keyer and the paddle connected to the HL2—there is a delay in the sidetone, making it impossible to operate CW this way. Perhaps there is a setting I need to adjust, though it is the same problem I experienced with Thetis.

The only thing I've ever played with where I didn't notice a delay on the side tone  was piHPSDR using it's built in keyer and a MIDI control.  That said I'm not much of a CW operator.  Generally what I see recommended is to use an external source to generate the side tone and then mix it back in with your audio. 

I'm only answering because it's been a long time since you posted your question and there has been no other response. DL1YCF is the guy you really wish to hear from. I'm sure he will see this eventually.

I totally agree, it's impossible to send cw with external keyer as there is such a delay.  It would be great if there would be the ability to turn off the sidetone in Lyra and just use the tone from the external keyer which has no delay.

You need to listen to the sidetone of your external keyer, not the received signal from the software radio.
