Hi Larry,
I am sorry to hear of your misfortunes. This is the first case out of 500+ users where I've heard of VOIP breaking and Windows 10 becoming unusable. Others are better at answering PowerSDR and Thetis on Windows questions as I don't commonly use those software packages. Most of the time I use Linux and run either SparkSDR for skimming multiple bands, or Quisk with WSJT-X. I see from your QRZ page that you use Linux. Have you tried Quisk with WSJT-X on Linux? One nice feature of Quisk is that it will automatically create any "Virtual Audio" connections needed via PulseAudio. This has worked out well for me and been easy to use. Quisk may do the same on Windows but I am not sure. Also, SparkSDR manages all the "Virtual Audio" connections required. It will do this on Windows, Linux (even Raspberry Pi) and Mac. Many people like to use SparkSDR for digital modes because of this convenience.
The software wiki page is where we try to keep links to all software and setup related information:
Some software packages do have extra notes on digital mode setup. We can always benefit from more and better documentation. All it requires to edit this wiki is a free github account. I also post .pdf format notes and documentation that users send me on that wiki page.
73,
Steve
