Hi all,

I first noticed this the other day. I was listening on my first laptop and I could barely hear the station in Chatham Islands. When I turned off this PC and got to my Shack PC, I could hear the station clearly.
The first laptop is using Thetis for HL2 and the second one is using the standard Thetis software.
I didn't care as I thought it was propagation.
Now I have Thetis standard version and Thetis for HL2 and I notice a significant difference in RX where the HL2 version is less sensitive. I checked all settings and they are for both versions exactly the same.
Am I the only one who notices a difference where there is a significant better RX on the standard thetis?

I hope someone else will do the same test. I want to know your results as well.

I'd wager you had the attenuator up too high in the HL2 version.

Under Setup>General>Options>Options-1 check Enable RX1 and Auto Att. This will tell the HL2 to dynamically adjust the attenuation to provide best dynamic range without clipping the ADC.

Try this and let us know if you see a difference.
