PowerSDR on Linux with Wine

Hi Group,

To make my testing of CWX easier (I have only one Windows laptop) and since Wine 5.0 was released a few weeks ago, I wanted to see if PowerSDR could be run in Linux with Wine. I was able to get it working and for the most part it is very usable. If you are interested in trying this:

** Install wine-stable

** Using winetricks, install "Windows DLL or components" gdiplus and vcrun2010

** Install the latest PowerSDR_mRX_PS_v3.4.9.0_Setup.msi https://wiki.winehq.org/Wine_User%27s_Guide#Running_.msi_files

I don't want to get into supporting this, so please only attempt if you are comfortable with using wine. It can be a technical challenge. Most functionality I tried works and there is no clicks during receive or transmit. Even PureSignal works, although trying to open the amp view graph will crash PowerSDR. I also tried wineasio with this, but it will crash PowerSDR. The standard wine audio is working okay though.

With CWX, I have the functionality implemented in the gateware. The keyer is working. I am debugging some issue with picking up the correct CWX/dot/dash data from the ethernet packets.

Many years ago I tried PowerSDR in Crossover Office  but found the
painting of the many tiles took around 20 minutes so I never got it to
function.
Second try it needed an earlier version of mpg123 that was not available.

Very busy over the next 4 days but I am willing to give i a try.
