Sample size for pure signal...

Hi all, 

I'm making an RF sample port for pure signal. I have a 100 watt amp and I think I need a 50dBm sample, is this correct?

50dBm is 100W.

Perhaps you mean a -50dB sampler, to output 1mW of the 100W?

Picky perhaps, but units matter.

Yes correct, sorry, -50dB sample. Is this what I need for 100 watts?
