HL2 - Thetis version to use?

I installed latest Thetis on my PC but it lists Hermes, not Hermes Lite2 in H/W options.  I'm guessing I need a different version of Thetis.

Also, does HL2 support protocol 2 or just protocol 1.

Do I need some flavor of VAC installed?

Any other prerequisites?

It's been a while since I did any of this stuff, but have you seen our wiki:

It shows that the proper version of Thetis has a drop-down for Hermes Lite 2, and it says it speaks Protocol 1.

Note the page is from July 2021 so it may be out of date.

Sorry if this is not helpful, but this is what I know right now.

If the wiki is no longer useful, please let me know and I'll see if I can't fix it or at least remove the out-of-date info.

Thanks for the info.  I have the correct version now.

Haven't had time to do it justice yet but I see refs to VAC in the audio config.  So is it necessary to have some flavour of VAC installed or does Windows have all that I need?

Hi Peter,

That depends on what you want to do. If it's just to get audio in and out of the radio (Mic & Speaker), then the VAC in Thetis will allow connection with the computer's sound card. If you want to pass the audio to another program, ie. WSJT, then you will need to install another VAC (https://vac.muzychenko.net/en/) and also virtual com port software (https://com0com.sourceforge.net/).

Also the sound mixers (Banana etc) are superb, if that's your need. Useful for splitting audio feeds to left/right channel etc.
