Have a build 9 hl2 with filter board.

I have an active receiving loop that I want as the receiving antenna. Can I use the RF1 connector to feed the Rx signal in and if yes do I have to add or remove a jumper to have it as the only antenna for rx or can it be done by software configuration?

https://github.com/softerhardware/Hermes-Lite2/wiki/External-Connections sections 'RF1' and 'ANT' explain how these work.

Maybe others can share more.

Hi,

RF1 is low power output only. It can't be used for receive. If you want separate RX and TX antennas, then you can search for work by Matthew, Reid and Joe. They used an extra select pin found on the N2ADR filter board to control an external RX/TX relay. The details are in this list and there may be some details on the wiki.

You might find this thread useful, the part in response to my post near the top.

My post:

Steve's answer with some useful info:

and of course more info later in the thread.

Although it pertains to transverters, it talks about splitting TX/RX paths using RF3 for RX input, but needs to be switched TX/RX to avoid loading by the other antenna on RF2 (ANT).

Hope it helps
