Hi Jim,

2.8 is no longer available for 18.04LTS, versions 3 and 4 are currently
shipped.

Quisk fails to paint a good proportion of the display and spits out the
recurring error.

Hello Sid,

I am running wxPython version 3 with no problems on Ubuntu 16.04. I will get 18 soon. What is your wxPython version, 3 or 4?

Hi Steve and All

Having just upgraded my Raspberry Pi2 v1.2 and bought a PI3 Model B+ it
fails to boot after installing the rpihl2test_20180422.zip.

And it appears they have changed the boot files and the firmware files
to accommodate the the new faster processor in Raspian Stretch released
on the 29/06/2018.

Here are a couple of links explaining quite a lot about the problem.

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=212452

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208596

Being unable to update or a dist upgrade the rpihl2test_20180422.zip image.

Having completed a new install of the latest Raspian Stretch the Pi3 B+
boots fine but now missing the rpihl2test.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the report. It looks like you've identified the issues with the upgraded Raspberry Pi hardware. Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now to upgrade the rpihl2test image. The image was really meant for use on a specific RPi hardware for Elecrow testing. If you or someone else wants to update the image, I'll be happy to post the updated image.

Steve
