Hermes Lite 2 with Thetis HL transmit issue.

I will describe the issue:

If I press MOX the TX light on the HL comes on for 3 seconds and goes off for 3 seconds, then goes back on for 3 seconds and then off again. Constantly repeating. This happens in SSB and I can see it in the watt meter. Power out for 3 seconds and nothing for 3 seconds then repeat.  HOWEVER, if I click TUNE, the tone comes on  and the radio transmits for as long as TUNE is selected. Same thing for two tone.  Keying the PTT with the 3.5MM input does the same thing.   Does anyone have a suggested setting that I have missed?
