Greetings all from Australia.
Recently got a HL2 what a wonderful bit of kit!

I am considering building up a all in one box using the hl2
So a amp and tuner etc and the hl2 in one box.
I have seen a couple of examples of this on youtube etc.

But my question is nobody has taken the hl2 out of the aluminum case and mounted it in a suitable box with the other gear?

Is there a reason that this is not a good idea? I realize i would need to mount the hl2 pcb so that the shim ect is dissipating the heat and maybe some sheilding as well, but is there something i am missing?

My hermes lives in a custom built case housing a watercooled pc, radiator is full size 360mm, graphics Nividia full size 3070 16gb, 32gb ram, psu etc on the bottom of the case. The hermes heatsink is screwed down into the aluminium divider and sdrplay both out of their original cases sit on a aluminium sheet above the p along side the ldg at600proII autotuner removed from its casec. On the left bottom is a stripped down 50amp psu and above that another aluminium sheet which the 300 watt amplifier sits, another aluminium divider isolates them from the pc and hermes side. Controller is a loupedeck ct, All cabels and coaxes have ferrites on them and i have no problems what so ever over the last year. I have yet to put a front panel on it but will eventually have that fitted with a 14" touchscreen and cut outs for buttons for a dg2go2 controller. This thing really requires a two person lift if your backs in a mess. lol.
When its completed i will be showing it of on youtube.
Over all size of this is not small 550mm wide x 265mm high x 440mm deep.
