Hello. I just bought my hl2. I found sdr-console more successful as an interface program. My question to you is that at the time of sdr-console tx I don't see sound modulation in the display spectrum. But thetis program has this. And it works just fine. Is there any chance to enable this feature from sdr-console settings? Thanks..

Hi,

You may need to turn full duplex on. Not sure where that is in SDR-Console.

Yes, you are right.  It should be full duplex.  But I didn't see such a feature in the settings.  I wonder if it is due to our hermes lite 2.  I will state the status in the sdr-radio form.

Hi,

If you want to confirm there are no problems with full duplex and your Hermes-Lite 2, you could also try Quisk. There is button FDX which enables full duplex in the radio. By the way, the HL2 always runs in full duplex. It is software which can be configured to use or not use the full duplex data.

It may also be necessary to adjust the LNA gain while in TX setting in some software.  If left too high I think there can be an issue with crosstalk in the one relay.  Quisk I believe sets it all the way down to -12dB by default.  piHPSDR shows your mic sound whether in duplex or not.

For benefit of others reading who wish to use SDRC (and who wouldn't?!) the answers are now posted in this thread (Group membership not necessary to view):

Hi Max,

I saw in your thread your are lobbying for band volts to be added to SDRC. Just FYI, you should be able to enable band volts using hermeslite.py and some low-level commands. You'd have to review the protocol page regarding band volts. The program hermeslite.py can be used concurrently with any software as two different ports are used.

Thanks for that Steve. Will take a look as had not realised this so all useful.

However, Simon has replied he hopes to add the feature native to SDRC, perhaps next week, so hopefully it will appear soon! Not surprisingly it's been requested by others too on the SDRC Group.
