My new Hermes lite works great on receive but will not put any power out. I am using Thesis v 2.10.3.6. I went through the post for no transmit and everything looked ok except for the  "PA must be enabled" I do not get a PA option is setup, only a PA settings tab where I have all bands set to 100. With a dummy load and a swr/watt meter and the software it shows no power. I key on AM and tune, I hear the relay operate. I also tried the same thing with Powersdr and got the same result. Is there a hidden setting to turn on amp or do I have a bad board?

You should run the HL2 version of Thetis.

To sort out these things you want to try SparkSDR and/or Quisk, these are simpler.  Make sure your filter settings are correct.

Sparksdr also shows no power out and I did turn PA on. One thing that was interesting was when I key up in AM , the fwd and rev power stay at 0, the swr goes to 1.0, the temp raises slowly, and the ma climbs steadily from 165 to about 200. I assume the ma reading is bias voltage. Is this really high ?. One other item it when I plug a PTT switch or anything into the PTT jack on hermes it keys up with nothing pressed and yes I did test the switch. Bad jack ?

The ptt jack is both cw key and ptt. Check the wiki for the wiring diagram. Using the cw key is an excellent way to rule out a software problem with power output.

Also, with spark, use the sig mode to test.

Be sure not to use a monophonic plug for the PTT input. It must be TRS stereo.

This is expected for the bias of the PA with no signal. Please work through as much of this wiki page as you can and report back:

If there is a true hardware transmit failure, we will work out an exchange or repair for you as your board is still under warranty. What was the ship date from Makerfabs? See this page for more details:
