Hi all

Is that possible to read a gps signal from cl1 and use it as sync clock with multiple  remote hl2?

How openHPSDR data package looks like? Does it have a timestamp option?

Hi Jo,

There should be information about using CL1 for that purpose on the HL2 wiki. You will probably need to tweak what's sent over, however, depending on what your GPSDO outputs. I should be able to try to get something working with the hermeslite.py script once I figure out a way to shift the 5V from mine down to the ~3V that's apparently needed.

Thanks,

Hi All,

You can find clock information here:

Note that the HL2 does not use an analog VCO like the openhpsdr radios to adjust the onboard oscillator based on the 10MHz reference. Instead, the HL2 uses a low jitter Versa5 clock PLL. The HL2 requires 76.8MHz. If you use an external 10MHz reference, you must setup the PLL to generate 76.8MHz from it. The 10MHz reference should not just be precise, but also have low jitter and phase noise.

Steve
