Hi Group,

I want you to know that the radioberry is working in receiving mode!!!

Running the raspberry pi (model B) with the radioberry cape is working.

Connected the pi to ethernet switch together with the pc running powersdr; discovering and starting the data exchange.

Different modes seems to work great also logged the first wspr's.

For now its running in 48K and the data transfer between the pi and cape uses the spi mode.

Simple interface and easy to program.

I changed from java to c because i had some performance problems...

Temperature of the AD9866 is almost 50 degree Celsius; the si570 reaches 55 degree celsius.

Now adding TX and look what the max sample rate can be...

See github for the files..

Hi Johan,

Great progress! It is not a trivial task to port the firmware to a new interface.

How are you measuring temperature? With an infrared thermometer? I can't remember anyone doing that with the Hermes-Lite, but it would be interesting to compare temperatures. 50 to 55 degress C sounds a bit hotter than I expect. We do have expected current draw measurements on the wiki.

I am also curious if you experience any differences in the RX noise floor/dynamic range given you are using a 2 layer board.

Hi Steve,

Using less layers also decrease the capacity between lines and planes... sometimes this can help using high freq etc.

I don't know the figures of hermes lite...

I did a calibration; hereby a picture of powersdr :

Hope this gives some idea.
