Hi,

This is the release of v2.9.0.6-HL2 of Thetis for HL2.

It isn't a proper install but a zip of an install and can be placed in an different directory (I use C:\OpenHPSDR) so should allow the original release to still be used. Then just run Thetis.exe within your new directory.

If you haven't already done so, you first need to install the latest release of Thetis (x86 or x64 version) as it sets up things like skins. The link is
https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.9.0/releases/tag/v2.9.0.6

Please read the release instructions associated with the above release as there has been updates to the skins which will affect some controls.

This release may require a reset of the database.

No warranty or guarantee, use at your own risk. It should use it's own database but do a backup of your current Thetis one just in case.

Cheers

The best way for having the CW side tone (unless you
go for a microcontroller-based luxury version)

- build a tone generator in hardware
- key this generator by your straight key
or the output of an external keyer
- mix this tone with RX output

I have built several such devices, they are fed
from a 9-V block battery and draw about 2 mA. The
advantage is that the side tone comes without delays
to your ears.

ok, thanks
i thought external keyer was only for use paddle.
i thought that if use cw through a log/cat command i can have the monitor on  my tx as for the ssb mode.

Hello ,

i move from the 2.8.12.0 to  v2.9.0.6-HL2 and everything seems to be great (From now just have tested CW and SSB modes). Therefore according the calibration for the S-Meter i cannot save it (Try to save the Transmit profile and few others but still cannot save the Level calibration).

Andy@ Regarding the CW sidetone monitoring currently this option is not implemented yet and as Christoph said you need to use an external sidetone generator or an external keyer (I am using a homemade K3NG CW keyer for years now with my Hermes) . The main issue regarding CW monitoring is mostly the latency provided by a sofware likely POWERSDR , THETIS or SDR Console (If we have a sidetone monitoring) and not usable if your keying speed is about above 25WPM.

In this forum you you find a lot of information and in particular regarding a Midi CW keyer.

With an external keyer you will not have the tone latency issue.

I am using the latest Beta but I cannot figure out how to show SWR.  No matter how I set the meters, I get FWD PWR.  I must be doing something wrong?  Anyone have a suggestion?

Hi Jay,

Try changing the meter mode while transmitting.

That worked.  It was noticeable when I hit tune.  I change the meter mode, then hit tune and was getting FWD PWR.  Expecting SWR  I was making sure my tuner was working.  Duhh.

Nothing else to complain about.  Works nicely.
