MIDI PTT in Thetis (MI0BOT latest)

I'm trying to use MIDI to integrate a PTT footswitch. I have no trouble using MIDI to trigger MOX, but it is latching and I'd prefer momentary. Is there something simple I'm missing to make a MIDI "Button" input be momentary instead of toggle? I suppose I could send the same event on key down and key up, but I'm afraid of it getting out of sync.

While on the subject, am I correct in assuming that the front panel PTT input (ring on the 3.5mm socket) will only work if using dedicated audio hardware like the AK4951? It will engage transmit for me, but it isn't passing my VAC audio.

I can only talk for piHPSDR, there you have two different "actions"/"events"
that can be assigned to MIDI, GPIO, of on-screen buttons:

MOX: button-press toggles PTT, button-release has no effect
PTT: button-press engages PTT, button-release releases PTT

the second action is good for Microphones, CW keyers, etc. etc.

I have no idea whether Thetis implements both, but perhaps you look through
the manual (if one exists).

Thanks for the suggestion! If a second option is there, I can't find it. There's one called "CWX PTT", but it is for CW-X mode.

The manual in the MI0BOT repo is 4 years old and is the same as the parent repo. It has a short section on MIDI interfacing, but doesn't have anything related to PTT or other controls being configurable in this way.
