HL2 Low Power 3.5 Watts

After 3 years of fun my HL2 output power is now only 3.5 watts.

I checked my Thetis Configuration and it seems to be fine. I also performed the Bias calibration and still getting only 3.5 watts output.

Measurement tools : Dummy Load + Bird Wattmeter and OHR WM-2.

Thetis v2.10.3.5 HL2-Beta2 (MI0BOT)

Any ideas? Please help!

Please post all pertinent information from your FB group post, like the fact that the output varies due to bands & the such.

Otherwise, the users here will have to drag all of that information out.

Hi Julio,

The first thing to do is to reset the database. This happened also to me after the last release and I had to

reset the database and make all settings again.

Try it.

Take Thetis out of the equation for now and try SparrkSDR. If that gives you 5W or s then fault find on Thetis.

Don't simply wipe your Thetis database - export a copy first!

Hi Duncan . I tried SparkSDR and my radio output is between 6 and 7 watts all bands. So what do you think is wrong with Thetis?

Check your PA Gain settings. Should be 100. Older versions or non-HL2 will be 38 by default.

My Power settings are correct 100W. I'm going to reset the Database today and see if that fix my problem. As I said in my previous posting I get 6 to 7W using SparkSDR so the problem is Thetis since I install the new Beta 2 version. Thank for your help . 73 de AD4Z/HI3A
