Thittai (Thanjavur) Guru Parihara Sthalam Kumbhabishekam Festival

 

Thittai, Shri Vashistheeswarar temple Maha Kumbhabishekam is to be held on 15th July 2013 between 9.00 am and 10.00 am. The glory of the shrine is sung by Saint Tirugnana Sambandar in his hymns. Lord Shiva in the temple is a Swayambumurthy.  This is Guru parihara Stalam.  Maharshi Vasishta worshipped Jupiter as Raja Guru in this temple, hence the place has Guru importance. It is 15 Kms from Thanjavur.
