Dear friends and colleagues,
Hope you are currently enjoying your holidays, however in the case that you are still checking emails and have a PhD student and/or an early career researcher who might be interested on a postdoc position in hydro-meteorological forecasting, here is an opportunity.
There is now a 2-year postdoc position at SMHI’s Hydrology R&D group. The researcher will collaborate with a number of researchers (both internal and external) and contribute to various Horizon2020 projects (i.e. CLINT, I-CISK and PrimeWater). The research objectives mainly target continental-scale (Europe) and catchment-scale investigations at sub-seasonal to seasonal time horizons (i.e. pre- and post-processing using bias-adjustment and machine learning, seamless combination, multi-model averaging, AI-enhanced predictions) and co-creation of user-tailored communication/visualization of forecasts.
Deadline: 21 August

I would also kindly ask you to further distribute this email to your network. There has already been a dissemination via Twitter and LinkedIn from my accounts.
Many thanks in advance and have a lovely summer.
Best wishes,
Ilias
