We are recruiting a PhD student in Hydrology and Climate Risk, with a focus on African flood impacts, at the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete (Greece). The position is part of the MSCA Doctoral Network CLIMES - Understanding and Predicting Impacts of Climate Extremes under Global Change (https://www.climes.se/climesdn/).

The successful candidate will work on compiling and analyzing historical flood impact data across Africa, in collaboration with international academic and non-academic partners, including secondments in at the University of Szczecin, Poland (group of Dr Dominik Paprotny) and at the Netherlands Red Cross’ data and digital unit 510 (group of prof. dr Marc van den Homberg).
