I kindly would like to invite to you to apply and share the application with your network for this exciting consultancy position in WMO.

 

WMO is seeking for experts in the field of hydrology and related topics to undertake a critical assessment of hydrological forecasting and early warning service capabilities within various countries and regions. The information gathered will be used to guide the implementation and development of work plans aligned with the UN Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative, in support of WMO projects and initiatives.

 

Selected consultants will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of existing hydrological forecasting and warning service capacities within designated countries/regions.
  • Mapping identified capabilities to create a clear picture of strengths and weaknesses in each region's approach.
  • Utilizing the assessment findings to inform the development of tailored implementation plans and work plans for strengthening hydrological forecasting and warning systems.
  • Collaborating closely with WMO Members and stakeholders.
