Dear Colleagues,

this year’s Annual Meeting of the European Meteorological Society (EMS) will take place in Ljubljana from 7 to 12 September 2025, with both in-person and online participation (https://ems2025.eu/). This year's theme is "The Growing Use of AI/ML in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorological Applications - With a Particular Focus on Flooding and Warnings".

If your work in hydro-meteorology leverage physical and/or innovative data-driven approaches to enhance predictive modelling and improve early warning systems for severe weather events, we warmly invite you to submit an abstract for our session, UP2.2 Exploring the interfaces between meteorology and hydrology (https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EMS2025/session/54592). Case studies, comparative analyses, and novel applications that integrate physical and data-driven approaches are highly encouraged. We value innovation and collaboration in our growing community and look forward to learning more about your research.
Please feel free to share this invitation with interested colleagues and distribute it widely within your networks. The deadline for abstract submissions is 14 April 2025.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Best regards,
Fatima Pillosu, Tim Hewson, and Jan-Peter Schulz
