EMS2022 Session "Seamless Precipitation Prediction from minutes to days"

Dear all,

the EMS Annual Meeting will take place this year in Bonn, Germany from 4 to 9 September. The call for abstracts is open until 26 April 2022.

I would like to draw your attention to a session on Seamless Precipitation Prediction from minutes to days (OSA 1.3) which welcomes contributions on the entire forecasting chain of intense floods at the catchment scale, specifically:

• Advances in high-resolution, quantitative precipitation estimation (QPE),
• New methods of observation-based and numerical quantitative precipitation nowcasting (QPN), and
• Combination of hydrological models and meteorological tools to improve flash-flood forecasting.
