Prime Video Bad Quality On Pc

Prime Video Channel now has really bad pixelated video quality most of the time on 2 of my Roku deives (Ultra, and Express 4k+) . All other streaming channels are fine. Video quality is good on my phone, an Android TV, and on a Roku Streaming Stick+. Tried removing channel, restarting, and re-adding channel to no avail. Connection speed on devices are good at 80Mpbs+.

We recommend reaching out to Prime channel's support directly and inquiring further regarding this issue so a workaround can be provided on their end.
...I'm sure they will tell me it's Roku's fault and will try and sell me a Fire TV Stick. I was hoping Roku would act on their customers behalf in order to provide a good experience for their own product.

During playback, kindly click on the Star button on your remote to look for additional picture settings. Also, since the issue is isolated to Amazon Prime, reaching out to the provider and asking for additional troubleshooting steps may sort out this concern, so we recommend you do so.

I would agree that Amazon is deiliberatly degrading video quality on competing devices to steer consumers to their FireStick. The video quality is so blatantly bad this seems the only reason. And contacting them they would just try to sell me on their device instead.
Trying to watch fallout last night with my streaming stick 4k on prime, some really bad artifacts in the picture especially S1E05 29mins30sec see the blue shutter door. Fine on an old fire stick 4k. It's a shame.

@chipmonk I think these kind of problems seem to be related to software optimization and they can be fixed by update. From what I read from another post, a new update should be released very soon(1-2 days). You can try again after the update and report to Philips if it still exists.
Just Updated Amazon Prime today but still the image quality degrades with time. Though in my computer i can watch the same video Full HD but it keeps pixelating in PPMAX Amazon Prime app. Anyone else facing the same issue?

You got audio problem, because Denon P4 sound is excellent and smooth, this is denon audio signature.High frequencies are very smooth, very different from Pioneer sound, and no comparison with an ipad
Because of the increased sound quality, highs are clearly separated and maybe you can even hear a bit more of the high freq range if you are younger or have less time spent near loud speakers (unlike me).

I've noticed that especially for SD content, (but also for much of the HD content - especially older shows like The Sopranos), video quality looks more grainy on the Apple TV 4K relative to the same movie/show playing via the Amazon Prime Video app on other streaming devices like the Xbox One X and the Nvidia Shield TV. I have a 1 gigabit internet connection and all of my devices are hardwired to the router. I don't see this difference b/w the Apple TV 4K and other streaming devices with other apps like Netflix. My TV is a SONY A1E OLED. I've reported this to Amazon, but curious if anyone else has noticed this.

I was able to contact Amazon's first line of support and they said they would escalate this to the development team for the Apple TV Prime video app. This is not a new issue and I've seen it on both the 1080p Apple TV as well as the current generation 4K Apple TV. What's weird is that the UI for the Prime Video app for non-Fire TV devices looks the same across all of these devices (Xbox One X, Nvidia Shield, Roku, Apple TV). However, the quality of streaming on the Fire TV versus non-Apple TV devices is the same (even though the UI looks better on the Fire TV). I am using the newest Fire TV cube that came out a month or so ago and the quality is so much better than using the Amazon app on Apple TV 4K. I am not sure why this is happening and whether Amazon views Apple TV as more of a threat than the other device manufacturers. So, maybe they don't want you to watch the Prime Video App on Apple TV 4K!! The grainier/noisier quality I see on the Prime Video App on Apple TV is not just for Prime Video content but also for Amazon Prime channels like HBO, Showtime, etc..
I am not confident Amazon will do anything to fix this streaming quality issue with the Apple TV. I've reported it to them at least 3-4 times and have to believe many others have as well. I suppose a lot of people who only use one streamer aren't even aware that they are not getting the highest quality streaming from the Prime Video app they can actually get.
