Visual Basic Runtime Files, also known as VB files, is an integral part of Microsoft Windows operating systems. They store the data required by Microsoft Windows programs to process user requests in order to produce results. Without this data, Microsoft programs may produce error messages, utilize excessively long start-up times, and may even crash unexpectedly.
The majority of computers used today are based on the Microsoft Windows Server operating system, which uses a Windows registry to maintain information about the hardware and software configuration and other system settings on a computer. The Microsoft Windows registry is continuously being accessed by the visual basic runtime files, which are stored in the "registry database" within the Windows operating system. Because visual basic for applications is used extensively by computers running Microsoft Windows, the registry becomes congested and unhealthy over time, making it necessary to clean or repair the registry periodically.
Visual Basic for applications programming is one of the most commonly used programming languages in use around the world. It is considered ideal for developing both web-based and server-based applications, including desktop, server, and Internet applications. Many people with Microsoft office applications such as word processing, presentations, and databases use visual basic for applications because visual basic for applications is easy to use and learn and can be used by people of any level of experience with computers. Visual basic for applications has become one of the most widely used programming languages for Windows computers, with over 30 million applications being run on Windows systems.

I installed the new Visual Studio 2019, but it is much slower (at least in my machine) than the 2017 version, and working is getting very frustrating. I want to get back but I can't find where to download the previous version.
You just need to access -downloads/ and If you get the same message than me, just join to the Visual Studio Dev Essentials (in the same page is a link to do it), it is free, and then you can download older versions of Visual Studio.
I was having the same issue (even with Dev essentials and I didnt have the option to download vs 2017 community, but 2017 professional instead), then I finally tried downloading the professional version (Then I just cancelled at the moment it asks which components) and suddenly it unlocks the 2017 community install in the visual studio installer hub.
I downloaded vs 2019 community edition, i installed the installer and quit the components window, and then downloaded vs 2017 enterprise installer, as the community release is not there, after executing the enterprise installer, the vs 2017 community edition was appeared instead of enterprise and that's it :)
EPANET is a software application used throughout the world to model water distribution systems. It was developed as a tool for understanding the movement and fate of drinking water constituents within distribution systems, and can be used for many different types of applications in distribution systems analysis. Today, engineers and consultants use EPANET to design and size new water infrastructure, retrofit existing aging infrastructure, optimize operations of tanks and pumps, reduce energy usage, investigate water quality problems, and prepare for emergencies. It can also be used to model contamination threats and evaluate resilience to security threats or natural disasters.
EPANET is public domain software that can be freely copied and distributed. It is a Windows-based program that will work with all versions of Windows. Continued development and bug fixes are occurring under an open source project site in GitHub. Software bugs and feature requests can be reported on the site as issues, and information is available for those interested in contributing to the code and/or viewing the quality assurance plan, contributor guidelines, software development roadmap, automated testing suite, and other information.
With EPANET, users can perform extended-period simulation of the hydraulic and water quality behavior within pressurized pipe networks, which consist of pipes, nodes (junctions), pumps, valves, storage tanks, and reservoirs. It can be used to track the flow of water in each pipe, the pressure at each node, the height of the water in each tank, a chemical concentration, the age of the water, and source tracing throughout the network during a simulation period.
EPANET's user interface provides a visual network editor that simplifies the process of building pipe network models and editing their properties and data. Various data reporting and visualization tools are used to assist in interpreting the results of a network analysis, including color-coded network maps, data tables, energy usage, reaction, calibration, time series graphs, and profile and contour plots.
Full-featured and accurate hydraulic modeling is a prerequisite for doing effective water quality modeling. EPANET contains a state-of-the-art hydraulic analysis engine that includes the following capabilities:
Extensions to EPANET are available that work with the existing software to simulate the interactions between multiple chemical and biological agents and their interactions with the bulk water and pipe walls in water distribution systems.
This toolkit is a dynamic link library (DLL) of functions that allow developers to customize EPANET to their own needs. The functions can be incorporated into 32-bit Windows applications written in C/C++, Visual Basic, or any other language that can call functions within a Windows DLL. There are over 50 functions that can be used to open a network description file, read and modify various network design and operating parameters, run multiple extended-period simulations accessing results as they are generated or saving them to file, and write selected results to a file in a user-specified format.
The toolkit is useful for developing specialized applications, such as optimization or automated calibration models that require running many network analyses. It can simplify adding analysis capabilities to integrated network-modeling environments based on computer-aided design (CAD), geographical information system (GIS), and database packages. A Windows Help file is available to explain how to use the various toolkit functions. It offers some simple programming examples. The toolkit also includes several different header files, function definition files, and .lib files that simplify the task of interfacing it with code.
Welcome to RapidMiner Studio, the easy-to-use visual environment for predictive analytics. With these simple instructions, in five minutes you will be building models and making predictions. No programming required.
While you do not need to create an account to download software, complete the registration and click Sign up to experience the benefits of the RapidMiner community. Note that the password must be a minimum of six characters.
When the download completes, install the software following the instructions appropriate to your platform. If you are upgrading RapidMiner Studio, make sure to quit the application before trying to install a new version.
Select a destination folder (or leave the default). Please ensure that the folder path does not contain + or % characters. By clicking Install, the wizard extracts and installs RapidMiner Studio. When the installation completes, click Next and then Finish to close the wizard and start RapidMiner Studio.
(OS X 10.15): Unfortunately you will right now see the image below when double-clicking. Instead, you need to right-click the app and select Open. Note that depending on your precise OS X version, you may even have to repeat the right-click step to get the Open action to work correctly! This happens due to the fact that we distribute Java 8 with RapidMiner Studio, which cannot be notarized at this point in time.
The RapidMiner Studio installation package for Linux does not include a Java Runtime Environment. Before installing RapidMiner Studio, use the package manager of your distribution to install a version 8 JRE (unless it is already present with your operating system) and verify that the JAVA_HOME variable points to it or java (contained in the bin folder of your Java installation) is on the PATH.
Double-click the downloaded zip file (for example, rapidminer-studio-.zip). The extracted folder contains script files for different operating systems. Please ensure that the folder path does not contain + or % characters.
Click the Licenses option from your account portal. When the page opens, make sure the Studio tab is selected. Your license information, including license type and expiration, displays:
The RapidMiner Marketplace is your one-stop site to download and share extensions for RapidMiner Studio. Follow these steps for detailed instructions on accessing and using the RapidMiner Marketplace, or take a look at Marketplace here.
By default, the RAPIDMINER_HOME variable is set to the folder location of the start script. If you leave the script within the installation folder (the most common method), the environment variable is set correctly. If you move the start script out of the installation folder, you must set the environment variable RAPIDMINER_HOME to the installation path of RapidMiner Studio. This allows RapidMiner to find its resource files.
