I am using db2 database and when I importing gujarati data that time data show some symbols. I try to set UTF-8 but still it's show symbol. Db2-server platform is windows. How to importing gujarati data.?

It is not clear from the problem description whether there is an issue with the client or the database, so I will show universal steps to troubleshoot an issue of this kind.I understand that your intention is to store the data as UTF-8 and Db2 documentation says:

which implies data is stored correctly in the database. If there is still an issue on the client end, it will be strictly a problem of client application that is not interpreting correct UFT-8 data returned by the database.

1. Drain soaked Toor Daal and add to a pressure cooker with Water, Fenugreek Seeds, Salt, Peanuts and Turmeric Powder.
2. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles, switch off stove and allow pressure to go down.
3. Open pressure cooker and switch stove back on to medium heat.
4. Add Red Chili Powder, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Garam Masala, Kokum, Green Chilies, Tomato, Ginger and Jaggery.
5. Mix well and add up to 4 cups of additional water (a little at a time) to get desired consistency.
6. Allow daal to boil for 10 minutes minimum (longer boiling will improve flavor).
7. For the seasoning, heat Oil/Ghee in a small skillet.
8. Add Mustard Seeds and allow them to pop.
9. Add Cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle for a few seconds.
10. Add Fenugreek Seeds, Whole Cloves, Cinnamon Stick, Asafoetida (Hing), Whole Dried Red Chili, and Curry Leaves. Mix briefly and add seasoning to the boiling daal.
11. Add Lemon/Lime juice and/or Dry mango powder to desired tartness.
12. Adjust sweetness (jaggery), salt or any other spices as needed.
13. Garnish with Cilantro (coriander leaves) and serve hot with plain white rice or roti.

I am retired person from north n love cooking. The other day someone mentioned about gujrati dal. I asked my wife 2 make and we both togather made. After a very long time such delicious dal was prepared. Both of decided 2 add this dal in our menu. Thanks a ton hetel n anjali . May Godbless both of you. Rakesh N.Bhatngar,Mumbai

You could start off with 1 tsp of tamarind paste but just as a word of caution, different brands of tamarind paste have different levels of tartness. Go easy at first and add more as needed to your taste. Gujarati daal is a perfect balance of sweet and sour.

Following on from the success of Indian Food Made Easy, this second series takes Anjum on a journey to show how different regional flavours of the Indian subcontinent can be found up and down the country. From Bengali cuisine in London to the spicy flavours of the Punjab found in Glasgow.

In this episode we head to Leicester to meet Michael Scott, known as 'Scottie' to his friends. Scottie is captain of one of Leicester's oldest rugby clubs - Stoneygate. Every month they have a team curry night at the club but usually rely on takeaways, so Anjum convinces Scottie to make his own meal for the players.

She takes him on a gastronomic journey to find out more about the cuisine that is enjoyed by Leicester's 20,000-strong Gujarati community. Having tasted some local delicacies, she teaches him how to make a fabulous Gujarati classic - Undihyo, a one-pot vegetarian dish.

The Global Gujarat Show is the biggest model hunt contest for worldwide Gujarati models. It provides a platform for unsigned artists to showcase their talents and launch them. The winners of The Global Gujarat Show are honored with the prestigious Krup Awards. Additionally, Krup Music Record Label catapults these winners onto the global stage.

The show opened in Beijing on June 23. The biggest ever display of Indian art in China, it has attracted more than a thousand visitors daily and as many as 10,000 guests on one weekend, according to organisers and Indian officials.

But after a media report on Tuesday pointed out that one of the exhibits of the show, which showcases more than 200 works by 29 artists and has been running for one month, included a four-minute video installation that featured interviews, discussing the communal riots in Gujarat in 2002, the Indian government told the host gallery in Beijing to remove the installation.

The organisers had, at the opening, cited technical problems with some of the installations. But other videos displaying the troubles in the Northeast and abuses by the Indian Army were displayed at the opening.

When asked about the videos at the inauguration, Indian officials pointed out that as the show was privately curated by the Serpentine Gallery, they neither sought to give their consent nor look to formally approve of the works of art.
