Dear all,
The Network for Environment and Economic Development (NEED) is excited to
announce that we are now accepting applications for the second 2013 session
of our Land, Law, and Economic Training program. Please circulate this
information widely among your networks.
The Land, Law and Economics Training (LLET) was designed by NEED as a
response to the current political and economic changes taking place in
Burma. Graduates from this training will be prepared to support equitable,
sustainable and people focused development in their country and
communities.

*Location:* Chiang Mai, Thailand
*Length:* 3 Months (Starting September 30, 2013)
*Application Deadline: *August 2, 2013
*Requirements:* Applicants should have two years working experience in a
INGO, NGO, or CBO in the fields of Advocacy, Land Rights, Law, Economic
Development or related fields. Applicants must have a high level of
English, Computer and Academic Skills. As the training is only 3 months
long applicants must be ready to work hard and be committed to this program.
*Subjects:* Land Law, Research Methods, Presentation Skills, Advocacy, Land
Rights, Globalization, Foreign Direct Investment, Advanced English Writing
Skills, Micro and Macro Economics, Community Development Strategies,
Networking and Capacity Building Skills, and Case Study Analysis.
*Who should apply:* This program is for professionals working in the fields
of Land Rights, Economic Development and Advocacy. Applicants should have
experience working but need further training to grow their skills.
Applicants who have a strong connection with an existing organization who
can support them during their time at this training should consider the
LLET. Applications from the border as well as inside Burma are both
encouraged.
This is an academic training where students will learn theory and skills
related to Land Rights, Law, Economics and Development. If you
