Aloha Friends of the East-West Center,

Greetings from Honolulu!

The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) is pleased to announce that
applications are being accepted for the 2014 – 2015 APLP Fellowship.
Please share this message and the attached flyer with anyone who may be
interested in this opportunity.

As you already know, the APLP is a signature program of the East-West
Center. It involves 4.5 months of intensive work in Honolulu and a highly
flexible 4.5 month practicum, giving participants a wide range of options
for their second semester experience (including a return to employment).
Basic application requirements are strong English language skills and at
least a 3-year undergraduate degree or the international equivalent (an
advanced degree is not required). The age range of the group is usually
from mid-20s to mid-40s, with the average being 32. Each annual cohort has
members from between 15-20 countries and a very wide range of professional
and academic backgrounds.

Substantial scholarship funding is available for candidates with financial
need. The deadline for candidates applying for scholarships is December
1st, 2013. Applications completed after that date will be reviewed on a
rolling basis until all seats are filled (generally by March 1st, 2014).

For information regarding the program or application instructions, please
visit the APLP's website at: www.eastwestcenter.org/aplp. The APLP's Fall
2014 application documents can be downloaded directly from the website.
Information regarding scholarships, curriculum, field study options and
the wider East-West Center community can be found on the website as well.

If you need any further information or have questions, please feel free to
contact APLP staff at AP...@eastwestcenter.org
