Will the board be discussing redistricting?

Thanks,

I do not know. I think anyone interested should attend tomorrow's and all the upcoming meetings. Redistricting is still in the Property Committee. Lise

I do not believe that redistricting is on the Agenda for tomorrow night's meeting. Rona

I think we need to ask Dr. Brodow about it tomorrow night.  Rumors of many sorts have been flying around town and I think we deserve to know what proposals are on the table/being considered as it seems that a fair percentage of elementary school parents know already, although I'm not sure of the accuracy of what's been said.

While it might not be on the agenda, there is always time for public comment where we can ask our questions.

Of course. I would strongly encourage you to do this.

I haven't heard any rumors so I can't confirm or deny those, but I would encourage you all to keep speaking up about the issue. I feel strongly that given Dr. Jasin's safety concerns as well as the need for parents and children in all of the schools to know where they will be attending school next year, the Board needs to deal with this issue this school year.

There is no planned presentation about redistricting tonight but my understanding is that there will be a plan put forward in early may and voted on 2 weeks later.  That leaves no time for public comment or community input as has been requested.

To clarify, there is “public comment” at each Board meeting, but I am talking about organized, broad community advisory input as many have advocated for to the Board and to Dr. Brodow.  It seems that request is being ignored.

I would like to see that, but still want to know why we paid this guy $8,000 and we do not have a report...

It seems to have been completely ignored, but not too late tonight to push for it tonight. See you there! Lise

He knew exactly what to say and the job was done….i’d be surprised now if they touch Hobart and I think this tactic worked.  Now we need to start an emailing campaign amongst our neighbors.  If they care…that is.  It doesn’t seem they do since no one responded to the email except you guys….JP
