Electron Developer Expectations:

• Candidates should demonstrate their approach, design patterns, and ability to explain solutions rather than just completing tasks.
• A deep understanding of Node & Electron concepts is required. Vague or high-level answers are insufficient. 
• Emphasis on overall Electron and Node.js expertise rather than specific offline functionality.
• Coding exercises assess code organization and problem-solving approach, with external assistance like AI being disallowed. 
• Experience in Module federation for integration of backend and Frontend is mandatory.

 

 

Mandatory:  Electron framework, NodeJS, NextJS, JavaScript, TypeScript

Good to have: Working knowledge of Search engines in a desktop application.

Experience - Demonstrated Work Projects having following skillsets

• Electron Framework – Integration of web technologies with desktop functionalities, familiarity with main and renderer processes and managing IPC is critical
• Node.js – Proficiency in Node.js and related backend development
• UI/UX – Working knowledge of CSS, React and integration with Electron apps
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript
• Experience with embedded databases like SQLite
• Experience with Automated Testing (Playwright) and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Security Principles (OAuth Authentication and Authorization best practices)
